What are the benefits of Laser Tattoo Removal vs. using cream?
There are numerous treatments for tattoo removal. However, at FADE, as Ireland’s only dedicated laser tattoo removal studio, we exclusively offer the world’s leading Laser Tattoo Removal technology - PicoSure® Pro.
Generally, it can be expected that tattoo removal creams will fade ink, but will not remove ink completely. Outlines in particular are slow to respond to creams, and are unlikely to fade effectively. In addition, creams are very slow to act, and typically require months of twice daily application to show results. It is highly unlikely that you would see an effect on the first use.
In addition, the ingredients of tattoo removal creams typically have bleach-like properties, which can irritate or harm skin, depending on skin type, sensitivity and health. As creams are applied to the outer layer of the skin, they do not directly contact the layer of skin in which tattoo ink rests.
Our PicoSure® Pro Laser Technology on the other hand directly targets the ink particles themselves, without affecting the surrounding tissue. What’s more, you will see an immediate effect from your first treatment. Laser Tattoo Removal also offers a less labour intensive treatment route, with 6 - 8 week intervals in between treatments. Outside of aftercare immediately after your treatment, there are no daily requirements, outside of sensible sun protection.
During treatment with PicoSure® Pro, ultra-short (trillionths of a second) pulses target ink particles with PressureWave technology - these pulses break the ink into tiny particles. These microscopic particles are more rapidly absorbed and eliminated naturally by the body.
Older laser tattoo removal technologies use heat to break down ink, whereas our PicoSure® Pro Technology uses wave technology, making it the least painful and most effective laser tattoo removal treatment available.
At FADE, your clinician will be able to adapt your treatment plan to your specific skin and tattoo type, meaning that you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan that is not possible with generic creams.
